Core FTP

The process of uploading content for your website using Core FTP is given below:

1. Open Core FTP, click Sites and choose Site Manager.

 

2. Provide your domain name under HOST / IP / URL. The port should be set to 21. Type in your Username and Password and click Connect.

IMPORTANT

In case of websites hosted on Scubez.Net's Linux Hosting Servers, uploading content is allowed only through SFTP. Hence, you need to choose the SSH/SFTP checkbox. Click here to know what is SFTP >>

 

3. Once connected, open the web folder.

 

4. In the left pane select a file to upload. Right-click on the file and choose Upload.

Enabling Active/Passive mode FTP

There are two ways in which the data connection mode can be modified.

A. Global Settings

a. Click View and choose Options.

 

b. The Passive mode for data connection is set by default. Under the Global Settings dialog box, uncheck PASV connections for transfers to enable the Active mode. Click OK to save the changes.

This change will affect all the sites for whom the data connection mode was set by default.

B. For Individual Sites

I. Click Site and choose Site Manager.

 

II. By default, the Passive mode is enabled. Uncheck PASV to enable Active mode.

 

III. Click Close to save the changes. The change is saved and active for future FTP sessions of this site.
