3D-FTP

The process of uploading content for your website using 3D-FTP is given below:

IMPORTANT

In case of websites hosted on Scubez.Net's Linux Hosting Servers, uploading content is allowed only through SFTP. Since 3D-FTP does not support SFTP, it cannot be used to uploaded content on such websites. Click here to know what is SFTP >>

1. Open 3D-FTP, click Site and choose Quick Connect.
 

 

2. For Host address, type in your domain name without the www. The Port should be set to 21. Type in the FTP User name and Password for your site and click Connect.
 


3. Once connected, open the web folder. In the left pane, select a file to upload.


4. Right-click on the file and choose Upload.

Enabling Active/Passive mode FTP

There are two ways in which the data connection mode can be modified.

A. Global Settings

a. Under Settings menu, select General Settings.

 

a. Click the Firewall tab in Settings dialog box. 

Passive mode is set by default. Uncheck Use Passive Transfer and click OK to save the settings.

This change will affect all the sites for whom the data connection mode was set by default.

B. For Individual Sites

I. Under the Site menu, select Site Manager.

 

II. select the site in the Site Manager dialog box and click Edit.

 

III. Click the Proxy / Firewall tab.

Passive mode is enabled by default. Uncheck Passive Transfer. Click OK and then Close in the Site Manager dialog box to save the changes.

The change is saved and active for future FTP sessions of this site.
