Deleting/Renaming Files/Directories

Should you require to delete or rename one or more files/directories, you may proceed with caution, as explained below:

Deleting Files/Directories

  1. Open the File Manager interface. Click here to read how >>
     
  2. Click on Web/web in the list of files/directories to open the web directory.
     
  3. Select one or more files/directories which needs to be deleted and click Delete, in the menu above the list of files/directories.
     
  4. Click to complete the delete action.

 

Renaming Files/Directories

  1. Open the File Manager interface. Click here to read how >>
     
  2. Click on Web/web in the list of files/directories to open the web directory.
     
  3. Select one or more files/directories which need to be renamed and click Rename, in the menu above the list of files/directories.
     
  4. Provide the New name for each file/directory.
     
    IMPORTANT
     
    • Certain keywords are banned from being used through the File Manager. The banned keywords are ebay and paypal. This restriction has been put in place to prevent ebay and paypal scams to be uploaded via the File Manager.

      Hence, the new file/directory name cannot contain either of these words.
       
    • Ensure that the file name does not contain a starting or trailing space. Otherwise, files/directories cannot be properly managed through the File Manager.
       
     
  5. Click to complete the action.
