Scubez.Net provides
a web-based FTP tool within your Control Panel itself for managing your content.
This tool provides you just enough control to update your website, in the event
that you are unable to use any dedicated FTP software.
The Scubez.Net File
Manager allows you to perform the following tasks:
- Navigate the FTP server - Once you have
logged in, you can browse from directory to directory and see all the
subdirectories and files.
- Upload files - You may upload files using
either the standard upload form or the upload-and-unzip functionality.
- Download files - Clicking on a filename
allows you to quickly download one file. If you select multiple files and
click on Download, the selected files will be downloaded in a zip archive.
- Zip files - This allows you to save a zip
archive on the FTP server, or email it to someone.
- Unzip files - This allows you to extract
files/directories on the FTP server, from a zip archive.
- Copy, move and delete - Directories are
handled recursively, meaning that their content (subdirectories and files)
will also be copied, moved or deleted.
- Copy or move to another FTP server - This
comes handy when you want to import files to your FTP server, or wish to
export files from your FTP server to another FTP server.
- Rename and Change File/Folder Permissions
(via chmod) - Chmod handles directories recursively.
- View code with syntax highlighting - PHP
functions are linked to the documentation on php.net.
- Plain text editor - Edit text right from
your browser; every time you save the changes the new file is transferred to
the FTP server.
- HTML editors - Edit HTML in
What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) form. There are 2 different editors to
choose from.
- Code editor - Edit HTML and PHP in an editor
with syntax highlighting.
- Search for words or phrases - Filter out
files based on the filename, file size and last modification date.
- Calculate size - Calculate the size of
directories and files.
